Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data AnyCars (“AnyCars”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use the anycars.rent website, the AnyCars mobile application and our Telegram bots and mini app (together, the “Service”), how we use and share it, and what choices you have.
AnyCars is an online platform for booking cars from independent rental companies in Georgia. We do not own the cars: the car is provided by the rental company named in the listing (the “Rental Company”).
1. Who is responsible for your data
AnyCars operates the Service and is the controller of the personal data described in this Policy. You can reach us at support@anycars.rent.
The Rental Company that provides your car is an independent controller of the data it processes to conclude and perform the rental contract with you — for example, when it checks your documents, signs the contract, accepts payment and the deposit, or handles fines and insurance claims.
2. Data we collect
2.1. Data you give us
- Booking details: first and last name, email address, phone number(s), the messengers we can reach you on (Telegram, WhatsApp, Viber), rental dates and times, pick-up and return locations and addresses, the selected car, a promo code if you use one, and your confirmations of the minimum age and driving experience.
- Account details (an account is optional): your name, email address, profile photo and account identifier received from the sign-in provider you choose (Google, Apple or Telegram; on the website also sign-in by email). If you sign in with Telegram, we also receive your username and, if you share it, your phone number. If you use “Hide My Email” with Apple, we receive a relay address instead of your real one.
- Messages: the content of what you send us by email, in messengers or through our Telegram bots.
2.2. Data collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, device type, operating system, browser or app version, language, and the date and time of requests.
- Usage data: pages and screens you view, searches (dates, locations, filters), cars you open or like, and actions in the booking form.
- Diagnostic data: information about errors, crashes and performance.
- Cookies on the website — see section 7.
2.3. Data we receive from others
- From sign-in providers — the account details listed above.
- From Rental Companies — the status of your booking (confirmed, declined or cancelled).
2.4. Data we do not collect
- We do not collect passport or driving licence details. Your documents are checked by the Rental Company when the car is handed over.
- We do not collect payment card details. You pay the Rental Company directly when you receive the car.
- The mobile app does not request access to your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
- The mobile app does not track you across apps and websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes.
3. How we use your data
We use personal data for the following purposes and on the following legal grounds:
- To create and manage your booking — pass it to the Rental Company, send confirmations and updates, and contact you about the booking. Legal ground: performance of a contract with you or steps taken at your request before entering into one.
- To provide your account — sign you in and pre-fill the booking form. Legal ground: performance of a contract.
- To support you — answer questions and help resolve issues with a Rental Company. Legal ground: performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in providing good service.
- To operate and protect the Service — keep it secure, prevent fraud and fake bookings, and fix errors. Legal ground: legitimate interest.
- To understand and improve the Service — analytics on how the Service is used. Legal ground: legitimate interest or, where the law requires it, your consent.
- To measure our advertising — on the website only, understand which ads bring visitors. Legal ground: legitimate interest or, where the law requires it, your consent.
- To run our referral programme — record that you came through a partner’s link so that the partner can be credited. Legal ground: legitimate interest.
- To comply with the law — accounting, tax and other legal obligations, and responding to lawful requests from authorities. Legal ground: legal obligation.
We send marketing messages only with your consent, and you can opt out at any time. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Who we share data with
- Rental Companies. When you submit a booking, we send your booking details — name, contact details, dates, locations and addresses — to the Rental Company that provides the car, so that it can confirm the booking, contact you and prepare the car.
- Service providers that process data on our behalf: hosting and database providers, email delivery (Mailgun), messaging (Telegram, which we use to deliver booking notifications and support messages), address search (Google Maps Platform), website analytics and performance measurement (Google Analytics, Yandex Metrica, Vercel Speed Insights), advertising measurement on the website (Meta Pixel) and sign-in providers (Google, Apple, Telegram).
- Authorities and other parties where we are required to do so by law or where it is necessary to protect our rights, our users or the public.
- A successor if the Service is reorganised or transferred to another company; this Policy will continue to apply to your data.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
The Service is operated from Georgia, and some of our service providers are located in other countries, including the European Union and the United States. Your data may therefore be processed outside your country of residence. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
6. How long we keep data
- Account data — until you delete your account.
- Booking records — for the duration of the booking and afterwards for as long as needed to handle disputes and to meet accounting and other legal obligations.
- Support messages — for as long as needed to resolve your request and keep a record of it.
- Analytics data — according to the retention settings of the analytics providers.
When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
7. Cookies
The website uses the following cookies and similar technologies:
- Necessary: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and cookies that remember your language and currency.
- Referral: a cookie that stores a partner’s referral code for 30 days if you came through a partner’s link.
- Analytics: Google Analytics, Yandex Metrica and Vercel Speed Insights. Yandex Metrica includes session recording, which records how visitors interact with pages.
- Advertising: Meta Pixel, which helps us measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the website may then work less conveniently. The mobile app does not use cookies: it stores your session and preferences on your device.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on the law that applies to you, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of your personal data and information about how it is processed;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on it;
- lodge a complaint with a data protection authority — in Georgia, the Personal Data Protection Service; if you live in the European Union, the authority of your country.
Deleting your account. In the mobile app, open the menu, choose “Account” and tap “Delete account”. Your profile and sign-in methods are deleted, and if you signed in with Apple, we revoke the sign-in token with Apple. You can also change your first and last name there. Records of bookings you have already made are kept as described in section 6.
To exercise any other right, write to support@anycars.rent. We respond within the time limits set by applicable law — as a rule, no later than one month.
9. Security
We protect data with technical and organisational measures: connections to the Service are encrypted, access to personal data is limited to people who need it for their work, and the mobile app stores your session in the secure storage of your device. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The Service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-party services
The Service contains links to third-party services — maps, messengers, social networks and partner websites. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for it.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the last update at the top.
13. Contact
If you have questions about this Policy or your personal data, write to support@anycars.rent.
